that "shag carpeting" is making a come back?

If I wouldn't have seen it with my own eyes at BOTH major do-it-yourself stores I wouldn't have believed it either.

I asked the carpet salesman, "You have GOT to be kidding me?  Wasn't one go around with this awful nasty stuff enough?"

He said, "I know."  Sheepishly, with head down, embarrassed of the industry he was in.

I may have been a kid when the "shag carpeting era of the 70's" was in full swing, but I remember.

I will NOT be getting that type of carpeting.  Just the good old regular plush, comfy carpeting to be installed next week.

The kind that when you vacuum you KNOW that you have cleaned up all the dirt.

Not the shag carpeting where you can easily hide a toddler or small animal for days on end.
