MISHAPS WITH THE TRUCK

Tuesday -

I took the dogs over to the new house to introduce them to the Invisible.Fence boundaries.

Poor Sami seems a little shell "shocked".

She then went and sat near the front door as if to say, "Nope.  Not going back around the yard to hear my collar beep.  I know what that beep means."

I think they both recognized the little blue flags that tell you that's as far as you can go in the yard.  Then they will hear a beep as a warning.  If they go any further, they will be shocked.  Neither of them got shocked.

It was VERY humid Tuesday, so I made sure they got lots of water and some treats for being good during the whole introduction.

After about an hour, I locked up the house and took them down the street to an ice cream stand.  I got them two baby ice cream cones.  They love ice cream.

So they woofed down their cones and I start to pull out of the parking lot.

I then hear that noise coming from Sasha.  That noise coming from the throat...heaving...get ready...here.comes.the.puke.

NO!!!

Of course the little garbage can in the truck was full (I kept forgetting to empty it) so I couldn't make her puke in that.  I basically went all over the part that sits on the floor between the driver and passenger floor mats.  ICK!

It was water, ice cream and treats!  Gross and stinky!

I got home and had to clean that mess up!  Poor thing.  Poor ME!

Wednesday -

I finished painting on Monday and had my son stop at the new house to help me load paint cans and a ladder into the back of the truck.  I had every intention of unloading them out of the truck that night.

You know what they say, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

Last night, Wednesday, I decided to have my son go out and empty the truck.  I finished with dinner and was going to do some packing.

Matt:  "Mom!"  <--  It's that tone that you KNOW something is really wrong.
Me:  "Yeah?"
Matt:  "You need to come out here.  This is bad!"
Me:  "What?"
Matt: "One of the cans of paint has spilled all over the bed of the truck."
Me:  "NO!  Seriously?  How bad is it?"
Matt:  "BAD!"

I go out to survey the damage.  Thank goodness it was isolated to only half the side of the truck.  I spent the next hour or so in the back yard with the hose cleaning the paint out.

Thank goodness my husband has this coated lining on the bed of his truck (probably because the manufacturer's wife dumped paint in the back of their truck) because it hosed right off.

I seriously thought about taking a picture to post on here.

Eh, I was up to my ankles in green paint and water.  A picture would have to wait.  :)
