Salad and Watermelon

I went to lunch with my son the other day.  We went to his favorite place, "Pizza.Hut."

Matt never "liked" salads much, but seems to now.

He used to only eat lettuce on the crunchy tacos at Taco.Bell.  I'm glad to see he's broadening his "salad eating horizons" with croutons, sunflower seeds, crackers and cheese.

So much for a variety of vegetables!
Here's the salad he made for himself for a "one trip salad bar" at Pizza.Hut.

He thought I was completely crazy for whipping out my cell phone and taking a picture of it. haha

What's good for the goose...
Here's my salad!
Lettuce, tomato, beets, cottage cheese, garbanzo beans (my favorite), broccoli, cheese and sunflower seeds.

ON TO THE "WATERMELON"...

My mom has been in and out of the hospital with some lung issues the past couple of weeks.  I stopped in at Rite.Aid to get her favorite cough drops and lo and behold

WHAT DID I SEE?

A beautiful display of tissues.  These are not ordinary tissues.  These are "summer fruits" by Klee.nex.

Watermelon
Orange
Lime

(My sister's tissues)

All in a "pie shape" and put into a circle on the display like chunky slices.

I HAD to get two boxes of the watermelon because it looked so cute!  The store manager said these boxes of tissues were "flying off the shelf."

I hurridly got to my sister's house to show her the "cuteness."

I look over at her bay window in her kitchen and darn it!  She already had a box, opened and being used.

That's ok.  Nothing was going to damper my mood when it comes to watermelon!
