In 5th grade, we had to each make posters for conservation. I made a poster with lady bugs that said, "She doesn't rest until she eats every pest." I won the contest for my class.
I've been in love with lady bugs ever since!
I have them in my kitchen, mostly. I also got my first (and so far, only) tattoo with two lady bugs on my foot (it hurt like h*ll!).
I'm the lady bug by my toes and Matt (my son) is the ladybug flying away. :( But you'll notice there is always a "path" back to Mama! ;)3rd grade was the year I got a Peppermint Patty doll for my birthday.
I liked that she had red hair, like me and was named, "Patty" like me! What a coincidence! ;) I usually find PP items for my collection on EBay.
Oh, and two years ago, we were on vacation in California (San Francisco area) and had a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to stop at the Charles M. Schulz museum in Santa Rosa, CA. Talk about a dream come true! So what do YOU collect?
I used to collect beanie babies but not anymore. I do collect all Precious Moments stuff...I love PM. :) I also collect thimbles. :)
ReplyDeleteI wanted to also thank you for your comment to "Ashley" on Kami's blog. I wanted to say something but wasn't sure what to say and you said it perfectly! So thank you!!
NP. :)
ReplyDeletehmmm I used to collect stuffed animals. I stopped in college. I don't collect anything else - but I love pigs! If I do start a collection...it's gonna be pig themed definitely. I already told my husband I want a pet pig...they are supposed to be cleaner than dogs...I think. Yeah you can imagine his response.(I have no idea why I love pigs...lol guess I'm just that weird)
ReplyDeleteOkay, first of all, about the koalas. As Patty's younger sister, I can attest to the koala loving.
ReplyDeleteOkay, for my collections....I used to collect pigs, but just because I thought I should have something to collect since Patty did. I don't collect much because I get sick of stuff so fast. I do tend to favor Oscar the Grouch stuff because that was what my dad used to call me.
Later! Julie
