That's so weird to write...6.8. He was 48 when he passed away suddenly. Here's part of the story, if you want to read it.
He was a loving father, the "fun" dad. He is missed.
Here's a few pictures and memories of my Dad.
He loved to vacation and "see the world."
So glad we always went on family vacations!
He gave you "tid bits" about life.
Very useful and I now "spout them" to my son. lol
He loved his kids (5) and grandkids.
He died knowing 4 of the grandkids.
He now has 12.
He was very affectionate and would never turn
away a hug or holding hands.
He was the "fun dad."
I wanted to see "Hall & Oates" (7th grade)
and "Pat Benatar" (11th grade) in concert,
and he took me. :)

I'm so sorry. Thinking of you. Can't imagine the pain today has for you. ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy!
ReplyDeleteIt's almost been 20 years, so it's not as "raw." Our family tends to concentrate on the good and funny times with him. :)
Glad you're honoring your dad today and remembering the good times.
ReplyDeleteA lovely memorial to your Dad.
ReplyDeleteMy 28 yr. old son told me two days ago that he had dreamt of Grandpa. He said, "We were all in the dining room, and there was an empty chair by Grandma. Only I could see him. Grandpa George didn't say anything, but was smiling and laughing at what was going on around the table."
We had an emotional moment--Grandpa is thinking of us. Like you, I miss my Dad too. Rosemary
Awww...that is sweet, Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by for Monday Madness
