Mother's Day Gift Request

I am a total practical gift receiver.  I like things I can use.  I have put a "request" in with my husband to help my son get me...dum dum dum...drum roll please...

A PUSH LAWN MOWER!

Yes, you read that right.

I LOVE mowing the lawn!

I was brought up in a small town with lots 'o property.  My parents were very diligent to make sure that we helped inside and outside the house.  Whether it was my brother or my sisters.  We all did dishes, cleaned hauled wood and mowed the lawn.

Mowing the lawn at our house was a hierarchy, of sorts.

Older siblings were allowed to mow the many acres with the riding lawn mower.  The younger siblings had to use the push mower around the trees and ditch line.

The day that you "graduated" to the riding lawn mower...MAN!  That was something.  :)

We have a wonderful, decked out red, Craftsman riding lawn mower for our 2 acres and FIL 1 acre.
This is our EXACT mower
 (although not my picture)

It has a cup holder AND cell phone holder.

I hate the weed wacker.

It is heavy and I feel like it just doesn't do a good job, so that's why I want a push mower.  Self-propelled.

I'll let you know how things pan out this weekend.  ;)

P.S.  Last week, I drove by a woman WITH SCISSORS cutting the dandelions out of her lawn!  Are you kidding me?!  Never in a million years.

  8. I hope you get your mower! You need a push mower to do around the edges. A riding mower just doesn't cut it! No pun intended.

I am always so excited when I "meet" other Christians throught blogging. I too am not religious but have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I have a Christian husband and 6 children who also have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.. Isn't it great to know that we will meet someday and share eternity together!?
    Have a wonderful Mothers Day!
