Dog food dilemma and the conversation around it

My husband was running errands today, so I asked him to stop at Petco for dog food. 

We have been using the same brand of Royal Canin dog food from the beginning (2 yrs), so this isn't a new "expedition" that he is going on.

He calls me from the store and says...

Him:  "I have searched the ENTIRE store, THREE times and they don't carry Royal Canin."

Me:  "I have bought the brand on-line and every Petco store that I've gone to has it." (I proceed to name the two other Petco stores where I have purchased the brand to solidify my case.)

Him:  "I am telling you, they don't have it."

Me:  "Did you ask an employee?" (Trying not to sound irritated or a "know-it-all")

Him:  "Why would I ask an employee when I've looked all over and it's not here?"

Me:  "Um, can you PLEASE ask someone?  Just to make sure?"

Him:  "I'm telling you there isn't the brand we need."

Me:  "Sometimes the dog food is in the aisles, on the wall and on the endcaps.  If you ask someone, I'm sure they will help you."

Him:  "I'm looking at the bag right now."  "Why did you call me again?"  (laughing trying to save face)

Me:  "You're a jerk!  You owe me an apology." (laughing and restraining myself to not say "I told you so.")

Him:  "Now which type of the Royal Canin do we need?"

Lord Jesus, please help me!  I love this man, but goodness! LOL
