FED.EX IS ON MY NERVES!

My son and I are up for new cell phones.  I greatly needed a new phone because my battery pack on the back of the phone kept coming off (I taped it on with scotch tape) and now, I can barely get a charge because the connection between the phone and the charger is messed up. 

A great deal of "buy-one-get-one-free" along with rebates and two "Rogue's" are ours *free.*  We ordered them very conveniently on-line and were to be overnighted within two days.

I got the nifty email confirmation from fed.ex saying the phones were en route.  I kid you not, things rarely go smoothly for me the first time, so I wasn't surprised by the following series of events.

SNAG #1:  We have a screened in porch (see photo below).  U.P.S. ALWAYS comes into the porch and puts any packages or deliveries on the porch.  Simple, right?

I had a "feeling" and told my husband Thursday morning to put a note on the door going into the house giving Fed.ex permission to leave the phones without a signature. 

Husband forgets to write note. 

Excited son comes home from school to find NO PHONES.

Mom at work gets call from son asking her to,
"Do something!"

SNAG#2:  I signed the paper left behind by Fed.ex so they will leave the phones when they come back to deliver on Friday.  I post to the door to the house (meaning the delivery person would have to come into the porch to see the note.

Delivery person never steps foot into the porch.

Doesn't see note.

Doesn't leave phones.

Mom at work gets another frustrated phone call from son.

Our recourse, at this point, unless we want to wait until Monday, is to go to the Fed.ex delivery center Saturday morning to pick up the phones.  That's my plan tomorrow morning.

SNAG#3:  There better not be one!
