A LOVE STORY

Anna was born in Hungary in 1890.  She immigrated to the United States, worked whatever job she had to because her husband was an alcoholic and wouldn't work.

In an era when divorce was highly frowned upon, she divorced her husband and raised her three children by herself.

Finally, in her 60's, she met and married the love of her life, Joseph.  He was wonderful to Anna, her grown children and was a grandfather that her grandchildren never had.

Only 4 short years later, Joseph died leaving Anna alone, once again.  I wonder if I was able to ask her if it was worth the heartache of losing Joseph for such a short time of true love, I'm sure she would say yes.

P.S.  Anna was my great-grandmother affectionately known as, "Granny."

  1. What a sweet story and great pictures. Even for a short time I am sure it was well worth it.
