Much Miscellaneous

My husband and I went to dinner last night with BIL who is visiting from Florida.  We went to Mallorca in downtown Cleveland.  I'd been there some years ago and my husband and BIL have never been, so it was a good time. 

Guess what we got as an appetizer?  You ready? 

OCTOPUS IN PAPRIKA!

I'm always up to try new things, so I gave it a shot.  It wasn't too bad!  No, it did not taste like chicken. 

It more tasted like a really soft piece of pork.

The only thing that grossed me out was the little "spores" on the edges.  Gross!  So I cut those off and ate just the "meaty" portion.  :)

After our wonderful dinner, we didn't get home until about 10:30 pm and we went straight to bed.

Our dogs, Sasha and Sami took one too many naps and were NOT tired AT ALL. 

Sasha's breed is a Hungarian Vizsla.  They are called "velcro dogs" because they are clingy and want to snuggle and be with you all the time.  She wants to be under the covers with us OR covered up to stay warm since she doesn't have an undercoat.

"The Vizsla wants to be close to its owner as much of the time as possible. Many Vizslas will sleep in bed with their owners if allowed, burrowing under the covers."

Sasha was up and down the rest of the night. 

Every time I would doze off, I would hear Sasha "whistling" (a cross between "whimpering" and a high pitched cry) next to my side of the bed since it's closest to the door.

I would let her up on the bed and under the covers, she would stay and then leave again. 

ALL NIGHT LONG!

So needless to say, my husband and I got little sleep.  We still love her though.  :)

P.S. Dogs are being run ragged tonight, so they will be nice and tired tonight!
